I am in my third year in the Ph.D. program in composition and rhetoric program here at Miami University. Before coming to Miami, I earned by B.A. in English at Loyola University in New Orleans, my M.A. in English at Clemson University in Clemson, SC, and spent two years working in development and fundraising at The Westminster Schools in Atlanta, GA. I greatly enjoy working with both the English Department and the School of Business here in the chilly "north."

This is my second year with the Howe Team and working with Kate, Moira, and Connie is a pleasure. Since last fall, I have given presentations in Management 111 courses and Management Information Systems courses and have been working on a study of the SBA class of 2000 initiated by Kate and the Howe Team in 1997.

In addition to my work here in the SBA, I also teach English 111, 112, and 113. My research interests include feminist theory, popular culture, performance theory, basic writing, and writing across the curriculum. I am currently working on a presentation for the Conference on College Composition and Communication on the rhetoric of popular third-wave feminist texts with my colleague Brenda Helmbrecht.

In my "other" life I enjoy going to movies, gardening, reading novels, and visiting friends and family. I live here in Oxford with my cat Shady.
